Leiden wordt ook wel de 'lakenstad' genoemd, naar haar belangrijkste exportproducten van dekens en textiel vanaf de 14e eeuw. Onze trouwlocatie is in een van deze iconische voormalige lakenfabrieken uit 1817.
Wij hebben onze eerste jaren samen in Nederland met veel plezier in deze prachtige historische stad gewoond. Zeker voor iedereen die naar Nederland afreist voor de bruiloft, hopen we dat jullie hier net zo van kunnen genieten.

Leiden is also known as the ‘cloth city’, after its main export products of blankets and textiles from the 14th century onwards. Our wedding venue is in one of these iconic former cloth factories dating back to 1817.
We enjoyed our first years living together in the Netherlands in this beautiful historic city. Especially for anyone travelling to the Netherlands for the wedding, we hope you will enjoy exploring it just as much as we have.

De locatie is volledig rolstoeltoegankelijk, met liften naar elke verdieping en ruimere toiletten. We blijven de hele dag op dezelfde locatie. Het is mogelijk om je door een auto of taxi af te laten zetten en op te laten halen voor de deur. Laat het ons graag van tevoren weten als je speciale wensen hebt (bijv. behoefte aan een stilteruimte of speciale stoelen), dan regelen we dat!

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible, with lifts to each floor and larger toilets. We stay in the same location all day. It is possible to have a car or taxi drop you off and pick you up at the door. Please let us know in advance if you have any special requirements (e.g. need for a quiet room or special chairs), and we will arrange that!

Travel to the Netherlands
You can travel to the Netherlands by plane to Schiphol Airport. Most international trains run to Amsterdam Centraal (e.g. Eurostar from London). If you're travelling by car, we prefer taking the overnight ferry from Harwich to Hoek van Holland (about a 40 minute drive from Leiden).

De trouwlocatie is makkelijk te bereiken met het openbaar vervoer: vanaf station Leiden Centraal is het ca. 10 minuten lopen.
Als je met de auto reist, kijk dan op https://gemeente.leiden.nl/inwoners-en-ondernemers/parkeren/parkeerlocaties/ik-zoek-een-parkeerplaats/ voor informatie over parkeren in en rond de stad. De dichtsbijzijnde parkeergarage is de Parkeergarage Lammermarkt. Het is mogelijk om met een auto of taxi direct voor de locatie afgezet te worden.

Leiden can be reached easily from Schiphol Airport or Amsterdam Centraal (international trains). The cheapest and fastest method to get to Leiden is with a direct train that departs from under the airport at Schiphol or at Amsterdam Centraal and arrives into the centre at station Leiden Centraal. Taxis (or Uber) are also available on the day or to be pre-arranged but expect to pay anything from 2-3 times more for a taxi than the train.
For those of you travelling from within the Netherlands or picking up a hire car, for information about parking in and around the city, then please head to https://gemeente.leiden.nl/inwoners-en-ondernemers/parkeren/parkeerlocaties/ik-zoek-een-parkeerplaats/ The closest parking garage is Parkeergarage Lammermarkt.
